Jack Henry & Associates, a leading provider of technology solutions and payment processing services primarily for the financial services industry, is hiring a Strategic Project Manager to join our Enterprise Services Project Management team. This role focuses on cross functional internal initiatives utilizing both agile and traditional waterfall methodologies.  This Strategic Project Manager will lead variety of projects, including IT infrastructure, data center builds, software selection and implementation, security, and software development projects. 

The ideal candidate has experience in managing concurrent high-visibility projects in a fast-paced environment using agile and traditional waterfall methods that may cross multiple business divisions.  This candidate has strong critical thinking abilities as well as high level of emotional intelligence to successfully identify and navigate various project risks and issues and lead them to successful resolution.  This candidate is comfortable in a technical domain, has an aptitude for learning new technologies/concepts, and is an expert at building partnerships with our stakeholders.  The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, comfortable leading detailed technical planning sessions as well as presenting to all levels of JHA’s Senior Leadership. 

This position will be filled to work out of any Jack Henry office locations or Remote within the U.S.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in project management. 
  • Must be able to travel up to 5% to attend meetings and training at other Jack Henry office locations.  

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Project Management, or Business.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
  • Lean and/or Agile certifications (Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe practitioner, PMI – ACP).
  • Experience leading projects via traditional project management principles, techniques, and frameworks, or project lifecycle.
  • Experience leading projects via Agile project philosophies, principles, techniques, and frameworks.
  • Previous Information Technology background and project management experience.  
  • Experience using traditional (MS Project, Changepoint, Planview, others) and Agile (Azure DevOps, Jira) project management tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manages the development and implementation of new or upgraded infrastructure and IT services and implementation of corporate processes.

  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending. 
  • Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project is on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Demonstrates strong project management (Agile and Traditional) skills.
  • Leads and facilitates Agile processes and sprint ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint reviews, retros, grooming sessions, etc.).
