Description & Requirements

Are you excited about developing new banking software applications for the cloud? Do you have experience creating requirements for JHA core banking or credit union solutions? The Jack Henry & Associates, Common Shared Services team is hiring a Senior Technical Business Analyst  for our new and growing team to help us build entirely new, cloud-first microservices banking applications for JHA! You’ll be the voice of the product owner in behalf of our users to enable the team to design & build solutions that JHA customers will love!

As part of the Common Shared Services team, you’ll be contributing to our strategic development as we add and enhance new application features and you’ll be working with a top-tier team to think strategically, and then identify user needs, recommend solutions, elaborate requirements, write user stories and functional specifications, validate product wireframes and API’s, help drive application strategy, implement process improvements, and collaborate with other team members to help us build great applications! 
You’ll work with the team’s programmers, quality analysts, product subject matter experts, and clients to turn new ideas into reality.

This position can be based out of the following Jack Henry office locations: Springfield, MO / Monett, MO / Allen, TX; or Remote 

  • Must have a minimum of 6 years of experience in software business analysis.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience documenting software product requirements and use cases.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience creating software requirements in Financial Services. .
  • Travel up to 20% to attend a Jack Henry meeting in another office location, training, and or conference.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • JHA Silverlake or CIF 20/20 product experience.
  • Solid understanding of core banking or credit union software product features & behaviors. 
  • Experience decomposing requirements into discrete use cases for development teams.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 suite and or applications.
  • Experience using Microsoft Team Foundation Server or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong business acumen concerning development of new technologies.
  • Strong interest with helping create a new product team based on DevOps roles and responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. A collaborator. Able to push through obstacles. Team leadership abilities.

  • Excellent customer focus.

  • Interacts with customers to gather system requirements.
  • Defines the system and functional requirements of the product.
  • Prepares business requirements and functional specifications. 
  • Serves as a resource and/or participant in business process re-design activities. Assists the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.
  • May perform application, system and regression tests. 
  • Responsible for creating business requirements and system documentation, as well as contributing to end-user and project management documentation.
  • Works with quality assurance and programming teams to ensure changes are migrated into production correctly.
  • Interacts with technical teams to convey business requirements.
  • Works with industry research groups to prepare for product trends.
  • May assist less experienced peers.
