We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Financial Analyst that will be part of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, supporting the CPS (Card Processing Services) business unit. Our department is responsible for financial analyses, forecasting, and budgeting, as well as supporting internal reporting and the month-end P&L close process. You will serve as a liaison with other departments to provide support services on financial matters, accounting policy, or other business initiatives and provide support to finance management and other internal customers, including ad-hoc financial analysis, report design, dashboard analytics and special projects.  Our FP&A team seeks to be a business value creator for the Jack Henry organization by providing financial analysis and guidance. We strive to be a strategic business partner with Operations providing world class financial support and business analytics.

This role will have a high level of involvement and communication with Operations, Finance, Accounting and other leaders. We are looking for a self-driven individual contributor with a high level of financial analysis experience.

This role will be hired in Louisville, KY, Elizabethtown, KY, Monett, MO, Springfield, MO, Allen, TX, Seattle, WA or Remotely within the US.  

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Performs highly complex financial analyses on cash flow, operating results, and business plans to determine rates of return, capital/cash flow requirements, etc.
  • Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control.
  • Aggregate, organize and analyze large quantities of data to identify trends and factors impacting business drivers. 
  • Summarizes analyses and effectively communicates recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts.
  • Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
  • Evaluates and analyzes capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc.
  • Documents revenues and expected expenditures and prepares summary statements and documents.
  • Acts as consultant to management on financial policies, procedures, and applications.
  • Prepares special studies, analyses, and recommendations for budgets, business forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, and statistical reports.
  • Building relationships with assigned business unit operations partners.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years of FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) experience including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis/reporting.  
  • Must have experience with accounting (monthly close support/analysis and journal entry submission). 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.  

 What would be nice for you to have:   

  • Experience within the banking, credit union, payments or technology industries a plus.  
  • Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience with OneStream and PeopleSoft.
