Description & Requirements

At Jack Henry, we’re more than a technology company, we’re a force for good in financial services. We’re redefining how community banks and credit unions connect with the people they serve. Our mission is rooted in people inspired innovation, empowering financial institutions to deliver seamless, secure, and human centered experiences. We deliver cutting-edge solutions that are paving the way for the next generation of digital banking and payments, but our true impact begins with our associates.  If you're ready to help transform an industry and grow with a company that values purpose, collaboration, and excellence then we’d love to meet you.

We are looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect for Salesforce who can connect the dots between big-picture business goals and actual technical delivery. This isn't a role for someone who just configures tools or manages a direct team. You will be the primary voice for our Salesforce platform across the entire company.

To succeed, you need to be a great consensus-builder. You will guide, influence, and align different engineering, security, and product teams, even when they don't report to you. Your main goal is to ensure our multi-cloud, multi-org setup is built to scale, stays secure and compliant, and doesn't get bogged down by messy, rushed technical debt.

This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.

This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship and support. Please do not apply if at any time you will need immigration support now or in the future (i.e., H-1B, STEM OPT Training Plans, etc.). All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Get Teams Aligned: Drive agreement, handle disagreements, and cut through confusion across different business units, tech teams, and outside vendors without having direct authority over them.
  • Map Strategy to Tech: Align our Salesforce projects with the company's broader business goals, ensuring our tech investments support the capabilities the business actually needs.
  • Own the Operating Model: Run and maintain the playbook for how work gets requested, reviewed, and built on the platform, making sure we have clear guardrails for everyone using it.
  • Enterprise Board Representation: Sit on the Enterprise Architecture Board to represent Salesforce, advocate for the platform, and bring corporate standards back to your delivery teams.
  • Be the Final Word: Serve as the final decision-maker for tough architectural choices, framing options clearly for leadership based on business value, risks, and impact.

Security, Data, & Integration

  • Security & Access: Lead the design for global identity, user permissions, and zero-trust security (including enterprise SSO, MFA, and secure login setups).
  • Data & Testing Environments: Own our platform data strategy (handling duplicate data, organizing clean data models, and keeping us compliant with HIPAA, PCI, SOX, or GDPR). Oversee sandbox management, data masking, and privacy controls.
  • Integrations: Define and standardize how Salesforce talks to other systems using modern integration patterns (like event-driven messaging, middleware, and streaming) across MuleSoft, and Oracle ERP.
  • AI & Monitoring: Oversee the guardrails for how we safely use Generative AI on the platform, and ensure we have great system monitoring and logging in place (like Chronicle SIEM) to catch performance or security issues early.

Delivery & Execution

  • Keep Quality High: Partner with project managers and release teams to enforce strict standards for system speed, reliability, uptime, and long-term support.
  • Modernize DevOps: Own the technical decisions behind our deployment pipelines, helping teams move toward smoother, automated code deployments (CI/CD).
  • Vendor Guardrails: Keep external consulting firms and system integrators accountable. Set clear expectations for code quality and review their work before it goes live.
  • Mentor Teams: Coach other architects, admins, and developers on best practices for secure coding, automation, and Flow design.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:

  • A minimum of 10 years in information technology.
  • A minimum of 5 years focused on Salesforce across large, multi-cloud enterprise environments.
  • Matrixed leadership skills: a proven track record of influencing people, managing conflict, and getting independent teams to agree on technical decisions when they don't report to you.
  • Governance experience: experience presenting to or sitting on an Enterprise Architecture Board, using standard tools like Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) to document why decisions were made.
  • Broad technical knowledge: a strong understanding of how business logic connects to deep tech infrastructure (like API gateways, middleware, data encryption, and compliance laws).
  • Must be able and willing to travel 10–20% for quarterly PI Planning meetings, IT leadership meetings, and annual conferences.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Cleanup & Consolidation Experience: Experience cleaning up technical debt, merging or consolidating multiple Salesforce orgs, and modernizing development pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Our Stack: Deep experience with Core Sales/Service Clouds, Experience Cloud, CPQ, MuleSoft, and back-office ERP systems.
  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certifications.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related business field.

If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this opportunity. Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement on this posting, we still encourage you to apply. We’re looking for passionate, driven individuals who align with our mission and can bring unique perspectives to our team.
