Jack Henry & Associates is currently looking for a Section Operations Supervisor to join our Central Region Statement Operations team in our Shawnee, KS office.  In this role, you will provide direct supervision to the Statement Production team which is responsible for rendering statements and images and preparing documents for outbound mail.  This role is a working Supervisor role so you will be working in production while managing your team of Statement Preparers. 

The Section Operations Supervisor position is a standard shift position but will require you to work off hours during month end. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a bank or credit union, item processing, printing or print manufacturing or general manufacturing. 
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Experience working around equipment with many moving parts.
• Shift work or changes in work schedule may be required.
• Knowledgeable in area of operation to be able to perform each task and provide guidance and train personnel.
• Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables with only limited standardization.
• Good communication and customer relation skills.
• Good leadership, organizational, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of business and management principles involved coordinating people and resources.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Oversees basic operations of the Statement Production team; allocates resources and alters workflow priorities be analyzing and understanding significant deadlines, checkpoints, peak-volumes and overall workload.
• Prints statements, high volume, or time sensitive statements, and resolves "cripple" statements following established procedures.
• Prints statements and images according to established procedures, and reviews print file match inventory.
• Prepares and distributes outgoing mail.
• Sends and receives courier parcels and distributes incoming items.
• Records inbound and outbound items.
• Compiles postage tracking reports for accounting purposes.
• Maintains an appropriate inventory of supplies used to perform duties.
• Troubleshoots equipment errors and arranges for outside maintenance services calls if necessary.
• Identifies cycle inserts when necessary.
• Sends and receives file transmissions if necessary.
• May assist with hiring and firing decisions.
• May assist in the completion of annual performance reviews; assigns workload, duties and tasks. Approves time sheets.
