Jack Henry and Associates is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to join the team. Candidates in this role will be responsible for utilizing the values and practices of Scrum to ensure that the Scrum process is used as intended. By removing impediments, you will contribute to the ability of the team to deliver product goals and deliverables, increasing the likelihood of the project's overall success. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate knowledge and experience across the SDLC while being able to adjust to a fast pace and changing environment.

The EPS Ensenta team develops and maintains innovative payment solutions utilized by some of the largest financial institutions as well as Federal payment solutions offered directly to the US Federal Government.  Solutions include mobile check deposit, desktop check deposit, and card transactions with EMV terminal support.  We were awarded as a Best Fintech to Work For and have won "Best Technology" and "Best Functionality" awards for our product.

This position will be hired in the Redwood City, CA office or may be worked remotely within the US. 


  • Associate’s degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT projects/software development projects OR working as a previous Scrum Master. 
  • Must have experience working within the Agile framework.
  • First level Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM 1).
  • Must be able to travel up to 5%. 


  • Experience in financial services or software/hardware industry.
  • Bachelor’s or Advanced degree.
  • Second level Scrum Master Certification.


  • Serves the Product Owner and Development Team in their pursuit to do everything possible to fulfill customer needs.
  • Guides the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices. 
  • Guides the team on how to get the most of out of self-organization, using self-organization to fill gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Assesses the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization, coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable.
  • Responsible for removing impediments to progress and guiding the team to remove impediments.
  • Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
  • Facilitates completion of tasks and goals without using coercion, assigning, or dictating tasks.
  • Leads technical discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Provides support and education to the Product Owner with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Provides team support by utilizing a servant leadership style and leading by example.
  • Creates metrics to add transparency for scrum team and stakeholders.
