As a Programmer Analyst with the Symitar Client Support team, you will be providing assistance to Credit Unions running our proprietary software. This multi-faceted support role will include troubleshooting and assisting customers while acting as their system administrator as well as testing, debugging, and editing of small custom PL/1 programs. Extensive training will be provided to learn our intricate core solution and custom database. The position will primarily work 6:00 pm-5:00 am Pacific Time the days will be either Sunday- Wednesday or Wednesday- Saturday and require joining a 24-hour rotation upon completing the training. This position can be remotely worked within the US.
- Learning the Symitar database and its capabilities in depth.
- Assisting in improving custom programs for our clients.
- Testing and debugging programs to ensure quality for our clients
- Developing conversion and system implementation plans; implementing newly created code and fixes into existing software.
- Providing programming support for various interfaces.
- Interacting directly with our clients on a regular basis and keeping them informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes.
- May perform entry-level system administrator duties.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 18 months of programming or support programming background.
- Ability to work Wednesday - Saturday or Sunday - Wednesday 6:00 pm -5:00 am PST and require joining a 24-hour rotation upon completing the training.
- Must be able to work the day shift during training.
- Must be able to travel 10%.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Financial services background.
- PL/1 programming knowledge.
- Experience with Linux or Unix operating systems.
