The Infrastructure architect position is responsible for planning, designing, and managing the technological systems that support an organization.  They collaborate with IT and other teams to develop strategies for upgrades and integrations.  This position will regularly interact with development members for deployments into various environments.  The position will be responsible for monitoring production systems and assist in making recommendations for future monitoring and logging.  Additionally, the position will be in charge of resolving tickets that come in from members of the organization and work with business analysts and development when issues need to be escalated. 

The salary range for this position is from $77,500- $97,200, based on location and experience. 

This position will be filled to work Remotely within the United States.

What you’ll be responsible for:
  • Serves as subject matter expert identifying, designing, and proposing complex infrastructure solutions and services to solve project and/or business needs.
  • Innovates, proposes, proofs, and designs new architecture or technologies or for the improvement of existing systems and applications.
  • Develops and drives the infrastructure standards, processes, systems architecture, and design patterns to support business.
  • Defines and refines the methodology and standards for setup and design of infrastructure to meets the needs of the business and external customers.
  • Assists with IT functions such as design, needs analysis, evaluation, testing, in support of one or more functional areas.
  • Performs troubleshooting, resolution and problem analysis.
  • Monitors alerting systems and servers.
  • Reviews issues logs and network capacity reports to identify trends and solutions that should be implemented enterprise-wide. 
  • Maintains in-depth documentation of activities and system configuration.
  • Assists with the preparation of systems assessments or certifications.
  • Assists with the execution of test processes and scenarios, track results, and make recommendations of system fixes.
  • Assists with network disaster recovery initiatives. Implement solutions to streamline disaster recovery.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned. 

What you’ll need to have:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in server, storage, network infrastructure and architecture.
  • Experience in SQL. 
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% to attend JHA meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.

What would be nice for you to have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • PowerShell.
  • Octopus Deploy.
  • Experience with working in a cross functional team.
  • Experience working with development teams and be able interact and provide direct support for development efforts.
