Are you someone who enjoys outside maintenance while promoting an appropriate working environment for company personnel?  If this sounds like you, then the Facilities Maintenance Specialist role might be perfect!  Candidates for this position will be reporting to the Facilities Manager or Grounds Supervisor who will give direction on daily duties that will be focused mostly on grounds maintenance which can include; Mowing, trimming, landscaping, snow and ice removal, irrigation systems, lawn chemical applications, etc.  There could be some exposure to building maintenance and repair and janitorial services.  Ideal candidates will be self-starters, motivated and like working as part of a team.

Working as part of the Corporate Facilities Group of 25 associates, this team manages the construction, physical operations, and maintenance of JHA offices and Data Centers.  This local team of 11 employees is a mix of maintenance specialists and grounds specialists. 

This position will be based to work out of the following Jack Henry Office locations: Monett, MO.  

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Cleans work areas, and performs heavy grounds maintenance, including but not limited to: mowing, weed eating, fertilizing, leaf collection, planting and pruning, trash collection, and light irrigation.
  • Performs general maintenance and repair duties including light carpentry, basic electrical, HVAC, grounds maintenance, and arranging furniture and partitions.
  • Assists employees with internal relocations by moving and arranging furniture, partitions, and other equipment according to specific directions.
  • Assists other Facilities Maintenance Specialists or outside contractors with basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance and servicing.
  • May assist other groups with troubleshooting network and/or phone issues.
  • Help schedule and assist outside vendors with maintenance and repairs.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned. 
What you’ll need to have:

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in any of the following categories:  facilities or grounds landscaping OR construction maintenance.   
  • Must be able to be on-call when business needs dictates: inclement weather, weekends, repairs, and maintenance emergencies, etc. as needed per management.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% (within the Monett area) for orders and deliveries.

What would be nice for you to have:       

  • Trade School Certifications such as CDL, HVAC, Licensed Electrician, OSHA 10 certified etc.
  • Previous landscaping, irrigation or grounds experience.
  • Experience with or knowledge of general computer use.
