Description & Requirements

The Enterprise Risk Management department at Jack Henry & Associates is looking to hire an Enterprise Continuity Manager who will manage the activities of the Enterprise Continuity Office across the entire organization. This manager provides guidance to the organization related to best practices in regards to Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and incident management procedures.  You will be managing a team of 9 individuals. To be successful as a manager in this role, you must have the ability to lead a team that consists of a diverse level of skill sets and be prepared to support both onsite and remote employees. This position will require you to be able to develop new reports for our executive management that documents the current status of the enterprise’s resiliency and recovery posture. This role will report to the VP of Enterprise Risk Management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, and/or enterprise continuity responsibilities.
  • Must have previous experience managing a team. 
  • Ability to Travel up to 25%

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Must be able to work during regular Central Time business hours.
  • Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) is preferred. 
  • BD-DR, CFCP, MBCP, CBCI, SBCI, or MBCI Certifications.
  • Understanding of Risk Management principles.
  • Able to meet aggressive deadlines and handle multiple and complex projects.
  • Able to work with confidential materials and employee information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Disaster recovery procedures.
  • Business continuity procedures.
  • Incident management procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to lead and facilitate in group meetings.
  • Experience utilizing enterprise continuity tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Guides management/staff in development of recovery procedures for each department by recommending disaster avoidance measures; periodically leads department managers in business continuity, disaster recovery or crisis management planning review to assure the effectiveness of recovery procedures.
  • Provides departmental leadership through sound decision making, coaching, employee engagement, and timely feedback.
  • Collaboration skills to work with multiple departments with varying levels of interdependencies to ensure the company is appropriately prepared for business continuity and disaster recovery. 
  • Periodically assigns staff or leads recovery team members in a structured walk-through exercise of their department's business continuity and/or disaster recovery plan.
  • Periodically assists departments in conducting a Business Impact Analysis and in using it to determine critical business processes, identifies acceptable recovery time periods, and establishes resources required for successful resumption of business operations in the event of a disaster.
  • Maintains contact with outside business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management planning professional organizations and attends continuing education courses in business continuity and/or disaster recovery planning.
  • Maintains business continuity and disaster recovery testing methods. Facilitates coordination of Information Systems and communications recovery testing processes. This involves extensive coordination between various departments. Ensures various technical components of the plans are tested on a periodic basis.
  • Prepares and provides documentation regarding business continuity and disaster recovery plans for Federal examiners, external Auditors, and internal Auditors throughout the year.
  • Actively participates in any threat management events that may impact business operations.
  • Acts as disaster recovery Software System Administrator for products and users.
  • Develops, prints, publishes, and distributes emergency weather response procedures as required.
