Description & Requirements

Jack Henry & Associates, a leading provider of technology solutions and payment processing services primarily for the financial services industry; is hiring a Programmer Analyst to join our growing Synapsys Operations team.  The Synapsys Operations team is involved in every aspect of installing and supporting the Synapsys product.  This position will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting rep gens and spec files.  In addition, provide support to customers and staff regarding Episys data.  This position will be critical in the implementation project of new Synapsys customers as well as ongoing support.  This position works with teams from both implementations and support to ensure credit unions both new and existing have and excellent experience.

This position can be based to work remotely within the U.S. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must a have minimum of 2 years of PowerOn / Episys programming experience.
  • Must a have minimum of 2 years of credit union experience.
  • Must be able to work some nights and weekends if projects require.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree. 
  • Prior credit union industry experience as a programmer or software engineer.
  • A combination of experience with some or all of the following: C#, Web Services, jQuery, Object-Oriented programming concepts, Visual Studio, and Team Foundation Server.
  • Java, Agile methodologies and Atlassian JIRA experience.
  • SQL server/database knowledge.
  • SSIS package development.
  • C# experience.

Essential Functions

  • Develops programming code for new and/or existing software enhancements.  
  • Devises block diagrams, logic procedures and prepares flowcharting. 
  • Troubleshoots and debugs existing code.
  • Tests code and fixes to ensure quality.
  • Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.
  • Provides programming support for various interfaces.
  • Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes; may assist the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.   
  • Creates all programming documentation; may include defining the system and functional requirements of the product
  • May complete project bids and/or work effort estimates. Interacts with customers to gather system requirements. 
  • Mentors, trains, develops and provides support to less experienced co-workers.
