As a copywriter/copyeditor at Jack Henry, you’ll create, edit, and proofread copy for print and digital creative marketing campaigns as well as technical marketing collateral, while meeting brand standards and adhering to Jack Henry’s style guidelines. Marketing initiatives include direct mail and email campaigns, case studies, brochures, event display signage, solution briefs, marketing slicks, video scripts, and the like.

You’ll work with your Creative Services team – made up of the Creative Services Managers, Creative Copy Supervisor, copywriters, and graphic designers – to produce clear, engaging, error-free materials. As a member of the Marketing Department, you’ll also collaborate with inter-departmental peers, like brand specialists, digital experts, in-house print shop personnel, and planning/operations coordinators. You should have a sharp eye for detail (no grammar or punctuation error ever gets past you), be able to meet deadlines (and be flexible when they change), and have a willingness to contribute new and creative ideas for our content marketing strategy. 

This position can be out of our Alpharetta, GA office, Charlotte, NC office or remotely throughout the US.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of four years of marketing experience
  • Must have direct copywriting/copyediting experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with electronic routing/proofing system and online annotations (e.g., Workfront, Slack).
  • Well-versed in CMOS.
  • A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization.  Works on moderately complex and diverse projects.  Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, customer relation, and project management skills.
  • General knowledge of systems and software used to create materials.
  • General level of knowledge of the financial industry.
  • Able to use independent judgment to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Writes and edits brand marketing communications, including marketing emails, blog posts, newsletters, collateral materials, templates, print-on-demand solutions, interactive experiences, and more.
  • Generates high-quality messaging and copy that meets Jack Henry brand standards quickly, efficiently, and with strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborates with graphic designers, outside vendors, and other inter-departmental peers like marketing specialists and brand managers on direct mail, digital marketing and advertising text. 
  • Conducts customer interviews for case studies.
