No modern software development team can succeed without properly designed, configured and fine-tuned Continuous Integration environment. Automation of software validation, packaging and deployment is key to our company that allows us to provide high-grade software solutions to our customers in record times.

Develops, analyzes and maintains tools that support and automate processes for hardware or software product release.  Plays a key role in configuration engineering tasks associated with product release. Works closely with Software Developers, NetOps, Scrum Masters & QA teams to plan, schedule and deploy releases.   

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Help us further automate our existing robust Continuous Integration environment
  • Adopt the CI environment to changes in the software development cycle including integration with new services
  • Create automation and integration scripts
  • Participate in multi-team release cycles
  • Develops, analyzes and maintains tools that support and automate processes for hardware or software product release.
  • Writes installation scripts and programs for installation of products.
  • Works with project teams to determine an appropriate build schedule and then initiates the build and packaging process.
  • Responsible for configuration engineering tasks associated with product release; manages the configuration requirements of projects, releases and patches.
  • Assists in planning and execution of product builds and release.
  • Monitors, records, and controls change in order to maintain product integrity, as it relates to source code control, macros, and libraries.
  • Works with others to complete analysis, evaluations and design alternatives and to implement process improvements.
  • Supports developers for software package registry and delivery.  Works with development engineers to correct build errors.
  • Compiles and assembles software from source code.
  • Collates metrics and report status.
  • May perform other job duties as assigned

What you’ll need to have:

  • Understanding of modern Software Development Lifecyle principles.
  • 3 years of programming and scripting experience (ie: PowerShell)

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Version Control Tools (Git, BitBucket, GitHub preferred)
  • Defect tracking systems - experience with using as well as integrating with other tools. (YouTrack – preferred, JIRA)
  • Build infrastructure – maintenance, and customization (TeamCity – preferred, Jenkins)
  • Deployment servers – maintenance and customization (Octopus Deploy- preferred, Azure Pipelines, GitHub Pipelines)
  • Experience with Security Practices (OWASP, PCI, HIPAA)
  • Ability to integrate and customize mission-critical DevOps infrastructure.

                  Developing professional expertise.  Works on non-complex to moderately complex projects.  Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices.

                  Able to develop and analyze processes to streamline hardware and/or software product releases.

                  Able to work with teams of engineers in various stages of the software development lifecycle. 

                  Able to manage risks and issues as they relate to configuration management of products and projects. 

                  Able to meet aggressive deadlines and handle multiple and complex projects.

                  Good knowledge of software development lifecycle, software quality and security solutions.

                  Good documentation skills.

                  Good organizational skills with self motivation.

                  Good communication and decision-making skills.
