Jack Henry & Associates, a leading provider of financial technology solutions is seeking a highly qualified Applications Engineer for the ProfitStars - Lending Solutions team. Candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining ProfitStars lending software. FactorSoft and LoanVantage are Microsoft Windows/Microsoft SQL Server/Microsoft IIS based financial applications, utilizing various Microsoft programming languages such as .NET and Visual Basic 6. Candidate will need to be capable of working independently and possess technical skills required to install and upgrade the application outside of standard business hours, as well as work with our internal Support and Development departments as well as clients as necessary to troubleshoot and maintain the application.

Candidate must be willing to work a later shift relative to standard US business hours, Monday-Friday, starting at 10 or 11 am Central Time as well as some outside business hours and occasional weekends. This position can be based to work out of any Jack Henry office or remote from any US location.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in technical support
  • Must have experience with the following: IIS, PowerShell, and Active Directory
  • Must be able to travel up to 5% for site visits.
  • Must be able to work Monday – Friday beginning at 10 or 11 am central time, as well as outside business hours as needed, and occasional weekends.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Citrix and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, Microsoft terminal services, thin client applications.
  • Experience with banking and credit union environments, will become familiar with banking and factoring software.
  • Experience with Azure and/or AWS.
  • Experience with Windows and network monitoring systems such as Azure Monitor/AppInsights, Solarwinds, etc.
  • Experience with scripting and programming languages.
  • Experience with email configuration and security, SMTP, etc.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site or remote installations, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
  • Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment. 
  • Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
  • Performs on-site or remote customer work including design, installations, repairs, testing, upgrades and/or maintenance on technical products.
  • Identifies customers’ needs and clarifies if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel, customer support reps, or engineers.
  • Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.  Resolves customer problems and answers questions.
  • Serves as liaison between the company and customers.
  • Conveys customer feedback to technical design and engineering staff.
  • May provide ongoing application, network and security support including servers, firewalls, routers, active directories, etc.
