We are looking for an Accounting Manager to be a leader who will drive innovation and guide improvements beyond traditional accounting within our capital costs planning and management. As a software development company, we are highly attentive to our investment in capitalized software, hardware, SAAS, and other assets. We are enhancing and prioritizing capital expenditure reporting initiatives and need an innovator to lead.  This position will truly benefit from our currently strong and experienced team responsible for month-end close, audit support, and balance sheet reconciliations.

This position can be worked out of any of the following Jack Henry office locations: Lenexa, KS, Springfield, MO, Monett, MO, Allen, TX, or Remote.  


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree.  
  • Must have experience managing accounting for capital investments including internally developed software.  
  • Must have experience in the SaaS, Software Development, or IT industry. 
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting.
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in either a Supervisor or Manager role. 
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% for strategic team meetings. 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree.
  • CPA certification. 
  • Must have accounting experience managing annual capital expenditure in excess of $200M.
  • Experience working in a financial technology company. 
  • Experience with system integrations.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of all accounting systems, including but not limited to Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. 
  • Designs operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. 
  • Ensures integration of data produced into systems and supports objectives of financial analysts. 
  • Participates in annual audits and special projects. 
  • May work with external consultants or auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes. 
  • Ensures area of responsibility is in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). 
  • May assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
